Privacy policy
Short version: your data stays on your iPhone.
What Relative Time collects
Relative Time doesn't collect your data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn't send your information to me or anyone else. I don't run a server for Relative Time.
What stays on your iPhone
Your places, people, notes, photos, working hours and settings are stored on your iPhone and shared with Relative Time's widgets on the same device. If you include the app in an iCloud or iTunes backup of your iPhone, they are backed up with it, as with any app.
Photos and contacts
- If you choose a photo for a person or place, you pick it with the system photo picker. Relative Time sees only the photo you choose, and keeps a copy on your iPhone.
- If you add a person from your contacts, you choose them in the system contact picker. Relative Time doesn't read the rest of your contacts.
Searching for places
Places are found in a list built into the app, which works offline. When you're online, your search text is also sent to Apple Maps to find smaller places. Apple's privacy policy applies to that search. Relative Time doesn't use your location.
Open data
The city list is from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), and the time zone map is from timezone-boundary-builder (ODbL 1.0, © OpenStreetMap contributors).
Changes and questions
